RED from Michelle

This lovely box arrived from Michelle in Arionza ...

Look at all the red in this box!!! omgosh she spoiled me good. She even kitted up LHN's Sunmmer Sampler for me ... can't wait to start it!

I just love the needle minder and the red buttons ... see the "m" button ... too cute!

On top of everything, she stitched for me this lovely design from a new designer, Needlework Press. This sweet pillow will go in my red basket ...

lastly is this sweet pin cushion .. already being used ... oh and she made some pins for me too .. very very cute.

A Sweet Summer Package From Edgar

Hello Friends,

I received Edgar's Summer exchange today.

Edgar always puts together such a lovely exchange.

Edgar stitched Prairie Schooler's Vegetable Alphabet and finished it into a darling pinkeep.

He included some fat quarters of fabric, peach iced tea with a cute little wisk, gardening gloves, 4th of July window clings and some sweet smelling hand lotion.

Thank you Edgar! I love everything!

My Summer Exchange from Diane!

I received my summer exchange goodies from Diane yesterday! Thank you so much Diane! I love everything =] Perfect timing for it's arrival, too... I just gotten home hours before with my oldest DD who had surgery to take out her tonsils -- not easy seeing her go through all of that. Thanks Diane for brightening my day.

In my package was a lovely pin cushion with a bee/bee hive theme; I haven't seen a pin cushion finish like this one before. Diane's finishing is just perfect! I've already stuck some of my counting pins in it that I recently tried my hand at doing; and it sits next to my stitching chair and will surely get lots of use. Diane also included the cutest ladybug figure - my absolute favorite thing! and a cute flamingo salt and pepper shaker set -- too cute -- my kids will get a kick out of using them, too. Diane also sent a very nice manicure set from Thirty-One gifts --- how did you know I love Thirty-One stuff (ahem, Karen D. lol) and have been looking for a nice manicure set as of lately??? lol! It will definately get lots of use. And lastly, some nice Belle Soie silks -- my most fav silks =]

Thank you again, Diane, for such a lovely box of goodies. I will enjoy everything and will treasure my new pin cushion.

Darlene is the best!

I have been having a horrible few days... Work is a mess and I was really dreading going in tonight but when I saw the mailman and saw a box for me my frown turned upside down. Would you all like to see what my sweet sweet exchange partner Darlene sent to me??

Summer Exchange for Edgar

My package will hopefully be going out this after noon, if not tomorrow morning for sure. I hope everyone is having a mild summer, as ours is heating up rather quickly. It was 110 out yesterday here in AZ. UGH!

Likes/Dislikes

Karen D. - I like alot of different designers - LK, LHN, BBD, SB, BC, quakers, Plum Street Samplers, etc. I like red but like alot of colors as well. LOL My dislikes are cartoonish, cats and religious themed. As for other goodies, I love finishing supplies, threads, scissors, size 28 needles by bohin, anything a stitcher would like. I am a linen fanatic, anything from 28ct-40ct (but prefere 35-40ct), love lakeside linens and WDW. I love all kinds of threads including silks, etc.

birthday - July 3rd

Diane - I love everything from cutesie to quaker. I love stitching for the holidays and usually stick to smalls. I like all holidays especially Christmas, Halloween, and July 4th. I like snowmen, gingerbread men and sunflowers. Any kind of finishing items, if you can use it for finishing I like it. Any kind of stitching supplies, I stitch on all kinds of fabric but have become fond of 40 ct. linen

Birthday - November 8th

Natasha - I enjoy a wide array of designs, sheep, bees, Americana, colonial, quaker, shaker and primitive. I like red, green, blue and purple samplers, silk threads and any types of linen fabric 28ct and higher. A few of my favorite designers are SB, La D Da, Homespun Elegance,, Plum Street Samplers, LHN, BBD, Snowmen and four seasons. I dislike Disney type designs, wizards, animals, bright colors or cutesy and not a huge fan of stitching on aida.

Birthday - January 27th

Jen - My favorite designer is BBD, other designers SB, LHN, CCN, LK, Homespun Elegance and Bent Creek. I really like just about anything. I have really grown fond of quakers and samplers. Overdyed anything but have become a "silk snob" who prefers to stitch on 40ct fabric with a 28 petite needle. All goodies are welcome including scissors. :) Like to collect mermaids and beach themed items. Dislike religious themes, neon colors and Halloween.

Birthday - August 12th

Michele W. - Likes so many designers like BBD, LHN, BC, The Sampler Girl, HIH, Homespun Elegance just to name a few. I love stitching with all kinds of threads. My preference for fabrics are linen/evenweave (28,32,36 & 40). All kinds of trims and fun stuff for finishing are always welcome. My favorite color is red. i love decorating for all holidays.

birthday January 11th.

Darlene - My likes butterflies, daffodils, pastel colors and gingerbread men (women). I mostly stitch on 32ct fabric and use 26 regular needles. I love charms, ribbon and love all colors linen. My dislikes are Halloween and primitive.

birthday - April 29th

Michelle K. - My likes are LHN, CCN, LK, BBD, With They Needle, Plum Street Samplers and other such designers. I love fall colors and other colors just not bright colors. I really love ladybugs! I also like sheep, owls, houses, primitive and holiday designs. I'm a linen/evenweave stitcher-my most favorite is Lakeside Linens in 32ct-40ct, also like WDW linen (35ct & 40ct). I like cotton silk threads, especially Belle Soie. Mary Arden petite 28 needles and any stitching gadgets. I would be happy with anything and treasure all stitched items. I dislike religious type designs.

birthday - October 10th

Edgar - My likes - BBD, SB, CCH, LHN - and similar designers. I also like Samplers, Quaker, Shaker, Americana, the Four Seasons, Sheep and Primitive things. Colours I Like are usually Muted and Earthy - I usually do not care for the neon of overly bright glow in the dark colours. I love the Fall and Winter Time - especially Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I love the look of Over Dyed Linen and Floss, especially Belle Soie silks. Not very fond of Cartoon Characters, wizards, dragons and the "cutesy." I like to stitch on just about every count but prefer to stitch on 36ct using a JJ 28 gold Petite needle.
