Summer's Here!

Summer has arrived in the Midwest! Melissa sent me the most wonderful exchange package and it arrived at my doorstep this afternoon!

She stitched this sweet Lizzie Kate design and expertly finished it as a pinkeep complete with a pocket on the back. I had to laugh at the fabric choice for the back. We've been going through lemonade in this house like it's water the past few weeks! It's all anyone wants to drink. Thank you Melissa - it's perfect!

And look at all the lovelies she sent to go with:

Dragon Floss cotton and Soy Luster soy silk - both of which are a first for me! The Ewe & Eye & Friends sampler pattern is absolutely gorgeous! And some darling little strawberry notecards.

Thank you so much for a beautiful exchange Melissa! I hope everyone enjoys a comfortable and enjoyable summer!

I can't wait for Autumn!
Hugs!

Exchange from Kim B......

Kim stitched me this wonderful Sampler Girl design "Molly Pitcher 1778". I just love this design and it's absolutely perfect for me. She also included some great goodies which I am sure I will put to use in the next few weeks!

I have to share a pic of the back.....

I just love this idea for personalizing and will definitely steal this idea! Thanks Kim for such a great package!

I'm Late!

I feel like the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.

Karen, I am so sorry I'm late! I need to make a trip to my LNS to pick up some extras for your package and I'm not going to make it there today like I had hoped. I will make it there tomorrow, though so I will mail tomorrow or Thursday. Things have been so hectic here! But I promise it will be worth the few extra days. Sorry!

Everyone has sent such lovely packages so far! What a gifted group of stitchers you all are!

Hugs and apologies!

My Exchange Came!! Thank you Melissa!!!!

I don't even know what to say...there are just no words!

I was having an exhausting, annoying Friday and then the mail came. And with the mail came a little box of joy!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you Melissa!! I am speechless!

Not only did Melissa stitch the most adorable scissor fob biscornu I have ever seen (seriously!), but she included the scissors! I only had a single pair of embroidery scissors so these are a very welcome addition to my stitching goods. And get a load of those darling buttons! The pictures don't fairly capture the beautiful iridescent fabric she stitched it on. So pretty!

And the goodies are mind blowing! Sweet springy notepads (did I mention I'm always rummaging around looking for a scrap of paper to jot things down on? Well Melissa's psychic), a Heart in Hand chart, and....oh my gosh....six skeins of Vikki Clayton silks! I had to pry myself off the ceiling!

Isn't that card she sent adorable too?? It's hand stamped. My husband didn't seem to understand the gravity of receiving this, but he found the whole scene quite amusing. And I even got a round of applause from my 13-month-old daughter as I delighted over this package. It's hard to compete with a reaction like that :)

Melissa, I am over the moon!! Thank you so much! I've been walking on air all afternoon now. You turned my Friday around!

Exchange from Kim B.....

Waiting on my doorstep was this wonder package from Kim B.....

How cute is this??? And the best part was this.....

Kim didn't share the designer/design but I love the thread color she chose! I forgot to take a pic of the back but she was creative in finishing it. My hubby even liked it so it happily displayed in our family room.

She also shared these wonderful goodies! Thank you Kim so much for a wonderful package! Happy stitching....

Hello Seasonal Stitching Friends!

Hi ladies!

I just wanted to say how much I have enjoyed getting to know some of you for the first time by reading your blogs! While I was familiar with some of your blogs, others were new to me. So I made sure I had everyone on my Google Reader. And I am loving getting to know you all through your beautiful projects and all the other things we divulge on our blogs :)

I for one am ready for spring! It can't come fast enough!!! I hope Karen is keeping warm enough in AZ for the rest of us :)

I have selected what I hope will be the perfect piece for my partner, and I can't wait to get started on it!

Hugs,
Kim B.
