I'm Excited!

Hi everyone!

For those of you who do not already know me, I'm Jennifer from Confessions of a Serial Starter.  I was so honored when Karen asked me to join in on the fun.  I knew that I couldn't turn this opportunity down!

Yesterday Karen sent me my partner for the exchange.  I'm a little apprehensive about who I ended up with.  My partner is an amazing woman whose blog I've been following for some time.  Her stitching and finishing is absolutely amazing!  While I have been stitching for years, I have only just recently begun finishing.  I just hope she can overlook this semi-beginner's finishing skills!

I've got several designs in mind for our first exchange.  If only I can whittle it down to the right one.......

Thanks for the invite Karen.  I can't wait to see everyone's wonderful work.

Happy Stitching!

Winter exchange from Michele

I received this wonderful exchange from Michele when I arrived home from visiting with two of our daughters over Christmas.
Michele stitched me this BBD which was made into a pillow. It is so cute. I love the rusty bells that were added to the pillow. Michele really knows me because I wanted to stitch this design myself. This is the second time Michele has stitched a design that I wanted to stitch.

She also sent all these goodies: 3 skeins of Belle Soie, two fat quarters of fabric, a scissors and beaded fob, marking pins, two pieces of linen, two patterns and some mints. All this was in a very cute basket, which I will be using to put in all the ornaments I want to stitch this year.

Thank you so much Michele for this and all the exchanges I received from you this year.

I am taking a break from this exchange this year, but I will be watching to see what you all will be doing this next year.

And thanks to Karen and Michele for running this exchange, it has been fun.

Happy New Year girls and Happy Stitching!!!!

my package from Faye

I rec'd my package from Faye and never got pics taken. I have the pics now, finally. The beautiful pillow she stitched for me went straight up on my desk, where there was an empty spot waiting for something and Faye's pillow was perfect! also here is a pic of the goodies Faye included.
I have really been spoiled by Faye this past year and have thoroughly enjoyed giving as much as receiving! This has been a great group of ladies and just want to thank each of you for making it such a delightful exchange for all of us! Happy New Year!

Winter Exchange from Karen D.

I received my winter exchange today from Karen D. She knows me quite well and really spoiled me. When this exchange started I had requested Shepherds Bush designs as I didn't have as many of them as I would like. All 4 seasons she delivered.

This is so cute! I just love it.

Karen also sent me some linen, a purple needleminder which she made, magnets, a frogging tool, an ort catcher (which she also made), a purple sock with lots of candy canes and the Recipes for a Cure cookbook that the Attic Needlework sold (which I really wanted!). Thank you so much Karen, for all my exchanges. You fulfilled my request quite well.

I have enjoyed this exchange forum this past year. I have chose not to participate next year. I really want to do more stitching for myself. Thank you Michele and Karen for putting this together.
