Summer's Here!

Summer has arrived in the Midwest! Melissa sent me the most wonderful exchange package and it arrived at my doorstep this afternoon!

She stitched this sweet Lizzie Kate design and expertly finished it as a pinkeep complete with a pocket on the back. I had to laugh at the fabric choice for the back. We've been going through lemonade in this house like it's water the past few weeks! It's all anyone wants to drink. Thank you Melissa - it's perfect!

And look at all the lovelies she sent to go with:

Dragon Floss cotton and Soy Luster soy silk - both of which are a first for me! The Ewe & Eye & Friends sampler pattern is absolutely gorgeous! And some darling little strawberry notecards.

Thank you so much for a beautiful exchange Melissa! I hope everyone enjoys a comfortable and enjoyable summer!

I can't wait for Autumn!
Hugs!

I just love this idea for personalizing and will definitely steal this idea! Thanks Kim for such a great package!

It's Ready! Sneak Peak!

Karen, here's a little peak at what's coming your way. It's wrapped and ready to go. It will hit the mail tomorrow. Sorry for the delay!

Summer Exchange from Michele

Look what the UPS man brought me yesterday. It is my Summer exchange from Michele.

Michele stitched a Blackbird design called Small Token. Of course I just love it as I am into stitching Blackbird designs. The patriotic pillow is a freebie design called 4th of July Quaker Style. Now the funny thing about the 4th of July design is I just stitched that design on Tuesday night!!! Great minds think a like:)
Here is the rest of the exchange. Michele knows how to put together a great exchange. She always sends me things in my new favorite color--green. I received a piece of linen from R & R Reproductions it is 32 count Sea Fog, a pair of green scissors, a roll of fat eighths, some heart pins, a accessory gift set from My Big Toe Designs, a really neat pincushion that also holds a scissors and a small patriotic basket and flag and some mints.
Thank you so much Michele you did a wonderful job again:)

Jill, your package is on its way

Hi Jill, your package is all ready to go. It will be in tomorrow's mail to you! I hope you like it!!

I'm Late!

I feel like the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.

Karen, I am so sorry I'm late! I need to make a trip to my LNS to pick up some extras for your package and I'm not going to make it there today like I had hoped. I will make it there tomorrow, though so I will mail tomorrow or Thursday. Things have been so hectic here! But I promise it will be worth the few extra days. Sorry!

Everyone has sent such lovely packages so far! What a gifted group of stitchers you all are!

Hugs and apologies!

Summer Exchange has landed in AZ

WOW! Faye really spoiled me! First she stitched one of BBD's patriotic stockings! Faye did an excellent job finishing the stocking and now i don't have to stitch this one (it was next on my list of their stockings). LOL THEN, Faye added some gorgeous red 35ct linen, dirty linen, some yummy red floss, an Uncle Sam little figurine and a patriotic scissor fob that has jumped right onto my ginghers already. :)
thank you sooooo much Faye!!!!

Summer Exchange from Joan

I received my summer exchange package from Joan. There are so many beautiful things that I hardly know where to begin, so I'll just start with a photo. :)

For the stitched piece, she made me one of the gorgeous Blackbird Designs stockings. I love these little stockings so much, but the finishing on them completely intimidates me. Joan's finishing is absolutely impeccable though! It's stunning.

She also sent along several goodies for me, including another gorgeous project bag she made. The fabric strip is a country style sewing theme and is absolutely adorable. I love it! Given how many WIPs I have, new project bags are always a welcome sight. ;)

She also included a beaded scissor fob kit. I've only attempted to make one fob in the past, so having a kit is great since I don't have a lot of necessary supplies for fob making. It's great having some written instructions, too! I can't wait to give it a try.

Next was a beautiful little pincushion chart called "Ole Pincushion" from Theresa at Shakespeare's Peddler. It's designed to fit into an old zinc Ball jar lid, which Joan also included! I was over the moon when I saw the lid. It immediately took me back to wonderful childhood memories of my Gran doing her summer canning using old Ball jars. :)

Speaking of antiques, she also sent me some beautiful little mother of pearl buttons that she said she picked up in her antiquing adventures. Given how many biscornus I stitch, one can never have enough buttons, and antique ones are just that much more special. :)

As you can see, she spoiled me quite nicely with this exchange. Thanks again so very much for everything, Joan!
