Yesterday brought a wonderful treat.......

Look at that beautiful biscornu! And the bag of lavender.......mmmmm.....smells so good! I'm such a lucky girl with such a wonderful stitching partner!

Monday's Mail

I didn't make it to the PO today, but rest assured Karen's package will be in the postman's hands on Monday.  Start stalking the mailbox!!!

Summer Arrival

Natasha sent a wonderful summer exchange!

She has a great sense for what I like.  She sent me a wonderful BBD pattern that was missing from my collection.  And her stitched piece......what can I say?  It smells sooooooooooo good!  I have no idea what she used, but it smells amazing!

She also included a bag of goodies for my pup, which he absolutely loved.

Better Late Than Never

As many (or all) of you know, I've had a very rough few months at the end of 2011.  It was all I could do to get through the holidays.  I just keep reminding myself "One Day at a Time".  That having been said, things are beginning to look up and I'm trying to keep a positive attitude about 2012.

I've finally begun to catch up with the normal routine again.  So, without further delay, here is a picture of the wonderful package that my 2011 partner, Diane (Nan) sent me:

Package Received

I received my package from Diane while I was away for the holidays.  I haven't had the chance to get into it yet, but I just wanted everyone to know it arrived safely.

A Public Apology

I pride myself on my promptness.  I'm the kind of person that will arrive at least 15 minutes earlier than I'm supposed to.  I hate to be late.  I still live by my high school marching band's motto "Early is on time, On time is late."

With the craziness of life right now I have not been as prolific a stitcher as I normally am and as a result my exchange stitching has really suffered.  I did manage to stitch my piece, but it is still siting on the finishing table. 

All this to say........

I'M SORRY FAYE!!!!

I promise I will get your package to you soon.  Worst case I'll just have to bring it to you in Myrtle Beach.

Spring is Here!

And blogger is finally cooperating.  I've been trying to show off my goodies for the last two days! 

Take a look at all the wonderful package that arrived from Nan/Diane........

She stitched up not one, but two beautiful Prairie Schooler designs.  And her finishes......well they are amazing in themselves.  Come, take a closer look!

These cute little guys are now hanging out on the fireplace mantle where the Christmas/Hanukkah Stockings usually hang.  I love the bit of Spring that they bring to the room. 

Oh, and by the way Diane, I manage to hide the chocolate from my Hubby and I was able to eat it before he found it. LOL!

Thanks again!  I'm really looking forward to June!

Are You Ready?

Tomorrow is mailing day! I can't believe how quickly it came. The good news is that I finished my exchange piece just in time. The bad news? I wasn't able to get all the "goodies" that I had in mind for the exchange. There's always next time....

I should have my package in the mail tomorrow so the mailman stalking can begin! I do hope my partner enjoys her package!

I'm Excited!

Hi everyone!

For those of you who do not already know me, I'm Jennifer from Confessions of a Serial Starter.  I was so honored when Karen asked me to join in on the fun.  I knew that I couldn't turn this opportunity down! 

Yesterday Karen sent me my partner for the exchange.  I'm a little apprehensive about who I ended up with.  My partner is an amazing woman whose blog I've been following for some time.  Her stitching and finishing is absolutely amazing!  While I have been stitching for years, I have only just recently begun finishing.  I just hope she can overlook this semi-beginner's finishing skills!

I've got several designs in mind for our first exchange.  If only I can whittle it down to the right one.......

Thanks for the invite Karen.  I can't wait to see everyone's wonderful work.
